Head-to-head comparisons from our Oct 29, 2026 test round. We ran the same three prompts in each tool, so every number on these pages comes from the same test.

Base44 invoice tracker test app (test data)Lovable invoice tracker test app (test data)

Base44 vs Lovable

All-in-one simplicity vs portable code

8.1 vs 8.4

Lovable was faster (about 16 vs 22 minutes for all three apps). Base44 needed no bug fixes and saved every app’s data in a real database.

Pick Base44 for the simplest internal tool or portal. Pick Lovable if you might move your app later.

Bolt.new invoice tracker test app (test data)Lovable invoice tracker test app (test data)

Bolt vs Lovable

Tokens vs credits, and which to pick

8.4 vs 8.4

A tie on score. Bolt’s free plan built all three apps with a real database; Lovable was narrowly easier for a non-coder.

Pick Bolt for mobile apps or a big token allowance. Pick Lovable for unlimited team members or GitLab/Bitbucket sync.

Scores are out of 10 from our Oct 29, 2026 test round (same three prompts in every tool). Columns: ease of use, output quality, pricing value, backend and data, code ownership and export, and fix messages. Bold marks the best result in each column. Overall scores within half a point are close, so read each tool’s “best for”. Fix messages are the bug-fix prompts we needed across the three builds; Base44 also needed one “continue” message after a checkpoint pause.

Softr and Emergent are next in line for the same three test builds. We’ll add comparisons once their tests are done. Until then, see each tool’s full review: Lovable, Base44, or all of them on the Reviews page.
